ATHENA EARRINGS 18K GOLD
The coins of the Athena earrings were reproduced from an ancient Greek coin, a bronze drachma from 323-281 BC, from the kingdom of Thrace. The obverse is adorned with the helmeted head of Athena. The reverse shows the front part of a lion.
Athena was the goddess of wisdom, strategy and battle and the patroness of the arts and sciences - as guardian of knowledge, she also protected spinners, weavers and other craftsmen.
